Eco-Labels
SeaChoice proactively engages with eco-label initiatives to improve labelling standards and ensure certifications remain credible.
Over the last decade, seafood eco-labels have increased rapidly in our supermarket seafood counters and on restaurant menus. Eco-labels aim to take the guesswork out of the selection process for shoppers who want to make ocean-friendly seafood purchases. Retailers, restaurants, food service companies and their suppliers offer eco-labels as part of their sustainable seafood commitments. Some fishers and farmers choose to promote their sustainability practices with eco-labels.
