Seafood Progress is also an online resource for retailers to report on their performance around sustainable seafood commitments and procurement.

It aims to aggregate retailer leverage across Canada to drive further improvements to fisheries and aquaculture practices, both in Canada and abroad.

This year (2018), Seafood Progress demonstrated that, while most retailers have detailed policies and are collecting important information about the seafood they source, retailers can generally be doing a better job increasing transparency by making that information public and supporting improvements to fisheries and fish farms.
